May 2025 Update: A Personal Move, Big Plans & The Best Ramen I’ve Had in a While

Hey friends,

May was a huge month for me, and I wanted to take a second to give you a little life update, share some real estate faves, plus throw in a market review and some seriously good food recs from around Vancouver.

So... I Moved!

Surprise! I’m now officially a licensed Realtor in both Vancouver and Calgary. I’ve made the jump and am now living full-time in Calgary, but I’ll still be bouncing back to Vancouver regularly, just shifting my focus a bit. I’ll be spending more of my Vancouver work time on presale developments, which I’m super excited about. It’s a great way to help clients get into the market earlier and plan ahead with more flexibility (especially with vancouver price points, let’s be real).

So, why Calgary?

Well, it really came down to three things: opportunity, love, and mentorship.

Opportunity-wise, I’m still early in my real estate career, and Calgary makes so much sense for my business and my clients. It’s more accessible for first-time buyers and investors, the clients I love working with. PLUS the barrier to entry is a lot lower compared to Vancouver, and honestly, it also means I can climb the property ladder myself a lot faster.

And yes, love is part of the story too. My partner Asher lives in Calgary, and we had been thinking about him moving to Vancouver, but financially and emotionally, it just made way more sense for me to make the move instead. I’m pretty stoked to live out the dinkwad dream (dual income no kids with a dog… plus a cat or two, obviously 🙃).

Last but not least, mentorship. If you know me, you know I’m always learning, and finding a mentor who’s aligned with how I want to grow my business was a huge factor. I’m excited to introduce you to them soon, you'll definitely be seeing more of us!

Cat Update (You Knew This Was Coming)

Winston had his top right canine removed recently (poor guy,) but he’s back to his usual chaotic self now. Scroll down if you need to see his post-surgery glow-up. I promised cat pics and I deliver.

Obsession of the Month: Bugpin

Okay, hear me out… I know I’m in love with him or whatever, but my partner Asher is seriously talented. He’s been a tattoo artist in Calgary for years, and lately he’s been doing more illustration and physical art. He just launched a site where you can check out and support his work - prints, stickers, that kind of thing. Here’s the link if you’re curious: www.bugpin.shop

Best Eats in Vancouver (IMO)

Vancouver is known for its amazing food - and May did not disappoint. Here are my personal faves last month:

Top 3 Restaurants:

Jinya Ramen Bar

The ramen and bao here are next-level. I went with a friend recently and it was exactly what we needed.

Pizza Garden

It’s super close to my old apartment, which makes it dangerously convenient. Their wood-fired pizza is so good.

Black + Blue

A go-to spot on Alberni, especially if you’re after a great steak or a classic burger on the rooftop patio. Sit by the fire pit if you can!

Top 3 Coffee Spots:

La Foret

This place has it all: plants, vibes, and amazing coffee. Their food is also delicious!

Fior Di Latte

A tiny boutique café on Hastings with baked goods that should honestly be illegal.

Bjornbar Bakery

Known for sweet treats and cozy vibes. Grab a rooibos tea while you’re there—Denman Island tea never misses.

Some recent listings I’m obsessed with:

I’m constantly swooning over sexy listings, and here are 3 that I couldn’t stop thinking about in May:

3526 Everglade Pl, North Van - offered at $2,650,000

13–280 E 6th Ave, Vancouver - offered at $964,000

414–289 Alexander St, Vancouver – offered at $859,000

If you want more info or wanna go see any of them, shoot me a message. I’m always happy to chat.
